Good spaces for good prices but noisy
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good space and well maintained building
Cons:
Thin floor/ceilings so you can hear a lot of impact noise. Rent was raised alot after first year.

Un-announced rent escalations of 36% after first year
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very spacious. Not worth the new price.
Cons:
The landlord raised my rent for my 2BR/1BA by $900 (33%) after the first year. This was not written into my lease, like other COVID deals. I don’t care how much the market went up. You don’t do this to tenants. Especially during a pandemic that has killed members of my family. This made things worse for me overall.
Advice to owner:
Be more upfront.

Great apartment on restaurant row
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very clean. Great garbage management. Bike storage, very clean basement that’s not smelly
Cons:
Raised the rent by an astronomical amount when it came to lease renewal
Advice to owner:
Stay true to market prices and don’t lie! But otherwise the maintenance of apartment is great.

Management is brutal, cold, and greedy. I
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious apartments. Elevator. Attempts to decorate common space during the holidays
Cons:
-roaches in hallway and kitchen in summer
-was harassed by management for months about noise from simply walking around my apartment barefoot
-takes forever to get a live person when you call K&R. I’m glad I never had an emergency there
-Always raised rent to max limit despite adjacent apartments keeping prices that same
Advice to owner:
A little kindness goes a long way.
