Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of 2753 Broadway highlight its attractive location near shops and transit, with relatively affordable rent and quick approval process benefiting students and short-term renters. However, tenants report persistent issues including poor cleanliness, pest infestations (cockroaches, rats), unreliable heating and plumbing, and security concerns like unlocked doors and homeless squatters. The building and units are described as outdated and in need of significant renovation. Many criticize an unresponsive, rude superintendent and lack of landlord presence. Garbage management and maintenance are inconsistent. Overall, while the neighborhood is praised, renters advise management overhaul and infrastructure investment to improve livability.

Pros

cheaper(ish) rent for a studio compared to other spots (2k)

Cons

live in super unresponsive at times.

Decent for the price but not the best

Pros

Good location; near shops along Broadway. Relatively affordable and great for students. Some units are fully furnished, which is great for short-term stays / internationals.

Cons

No in-building laundry. The unit could use some major renovation, as you can see, with small details like cracks and peeling floor varnish. The building access machine could be upgraded to allow packages to be dropped off even when the no one is in.

Advice to the owners

Major renovations to the building and the units.
