The Epitome of a Terrible NYC Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Maybe the dishwasher?
Cons:
- Landlord is incredibly rude, irresponsible, un-organized, inarticulate, etc. - We went without heat and hot water for multiple months on and off during October-March - Landlord owns the restaurant and bar below the apartment building but does nothing regarding the noise, the shaking from the speaker nor the bothersome pedestrains. - There are countless cockraoches and mice in the bottom level where the laundry is - We had a broken mailbox that was never fixed, regardless of the repair asks which ended in stolen mail - Construction workers would change our door to autmatically lock behind us, resulting in lock outs due to no fault of our own - With any communication regarding the disruption of our living quarters, we always needed to point our rules in regulations in our lease as the landlord would make attempts of either not abiding by or or trying to get more money out of tenants than what was written in the lease

Nice but Expensive Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is relatively well-maintained. The garbage is regularly taken care of, and the building has laundry facilities in the basement. The building is exceptionally close to the ACDB trains at 125th, which makes for an easy commute downtown. The building has also been recently updated with features such as a virtual doorman.
Cons:
While the building and the apartments are great, the price feels pretty expensive for the neighborhood. Additionally, while there is the convenience of a laundry room, the actual price of the laundry is also quite expensive and is still coin-operated. Unfortunately, there is no coin machine on site, so you'll have to make a trip to the bank to operate the laundry machines. Lastly, the super does not live on-site, so if you lock yourself out of your apartment or need an immediate fix for something, keep in mind that you will have to wait for the super to arrive.
Advice to owner:
Lower the price of the laundry, and switch the machines from coin-operated to card-operated.

Nice place terrible landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Place is nice, there are no pest, and location is good
Cons:
The land lord is the absolute worst. Treats you like their property and I mean you not the apartment. There is an expectation that you will do what ever they want when ever they want. If you have questions that’s a problem. And they don’t give notice for anything. Sometimes even entering without letting you know.Any opportunity to gauge you on rent they will do it in a heart beat. They carefully plan so that they can squeeze every dollar out of you. In addition they are pathological liars and will tell you whatever they think you want to hear then do something different. They do not follow city rules and don’t care about your well being or your property. All that matters is them.
Advice to owner:
Treat people with dignity and respect we are humans too.
