Wouldn't recommend this building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location (between 3 train and A/B/C/D) Near 2 grocery stores Close to City College
Cons:
Unresponsive management No elevator No garbage (you have to walk around the corner and put your trash in the cans) Outdated appliances Intermittently lose hot water Issues with consistent heat Building flooded in December 2022 and very little water damage has been addressed
Advice to owner:
Create a clearer list of who to contact when, and create ways for tenants to know when a super no longer works at the bulding so we don't continue to try to contact them

Zero Communication but 10/10 Neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location! Just 3ish blocks to the ADBC trains, two blocks from St. Nicholas park. Neighbors are super friendly (many have offered to help me carry heavy boxes up the stairs)! Our cats love that it allows for pets (dogs included). If you stick your head out of my window look south, you can just make out the Empire State Building in the skyline.
Cons:
Super and landlords are UNRESPONSIVE. When we moved in neither shower was working (we have two), one toilet wasn’t affixed to the ground, and we didn’t have hot water for 48 hours. Our kitchen sink pipes still leak (it smells rancid in that cabinet), we have to keep a bucket under there to catch water, my windows still don’t lock, and my bedroom door doesn’t properly close. We got one free month as part of our lease and the landlords decided that that month was July without any prior communication or barely any communication afterwards. Getting ahold of anyone is nearly impossible when it comes to questions about the lease or rent or anything you’d need to ask a landlord about. I called multiple people and left multiple messages and sent several emails and only got one email back as a response. They never gave us a reason why July was our free month.
Advice to owner:
Communicate!!! I understand that you have problems, everyone has problems. But if you just communicated with your tenants and were more transparent about the problems, it would be a much better place to love.

Former Tenant
Pros:

Cons:
