Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 695 St Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan reveal a building with a prime location near the subway but significant management and maintenance problems. Tenants report chronic pest infestations, poor cleanliness, garbage issues, frequent elevator breakdowns, and sluggish or neglectful owner responsiveness. Heating and water pressure are inconsistent, and safety concerns include electrical and fire hazards as well as building disrepair like leaking ceilings. While some neighbors are friendly and the historic architecture is appreciated, overall the experience is marred by management’s inadequate upkeep, tenant harassment allegations, and unsafe living conditions. Renters advise urgent improvements in maintenance and management practices.

Former Tenant
Pros:
I mean it’s right by the ACBD station.
Cons:
Management is horrible, the landlord never responds EVER lol you always have to go over his head to the property manager to get stuff done and even then, the landlord never comes when he says he will. Huge pest issue that’s overlooked. They repaint the walls before they even address any real issues, and even that is done wrong. Elevator is constantly down. Need repairs in your apartment? Forget it, maybe it’ll get done in a year. Please live somewhere else.
Advice to owner:
Make our apartments livable please.
