Great affordable first apartment, but there are some issues in the value

Pros:
-affordable, rent controlled unit and the company that manages it never really tried to pull anything shady on us
-excellent location across from riverside and riverbank parks and a short walk to the 1 train. Hamilton Heights is an awesome, underrated neighborhood.
-other residents were always very friendly
Cons:
-you’re definitely in an older building. Loud pipes in the winter, there will be mice, etc etc
-the management company was pretty nameless and faceless. They once switched our account manager without giving us notice. Reaching out was not the easiest

-better communication on changes if possible
