Overall Dreadful Apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent control apt opportunities. Neighborhood isn't horrible. It's okay.
Cons:
Management is the absolute worst. They go through supers like it's no tomorrow. Roach infestation. Parking is impossible since everyone double triple parks in the area. High crime area, lots of shootings in the vicinity of the 34th pct.
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive and fix your building!! Pipes are extremely old and there's constant water leaks and water pressure issues!!

The property manager is a slumlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors on my floor are wonderful - they’ve all lived in the building a long time and we take care of each other.
Cons:
Little to no response to maintenance issues unless they are an absolute emergency. I had two huge holes in the bathroom ceiling for 19 months that was finally fixed because I reported it to 311 and after a month the city sent a contractor to make the repairs. The HPD inspectors were shocked the landlord had allowed things to get so bad. Last summer the super was let go and replaced with someone who was responsive and took care of a lot of maintenance issues, but after a couple months he was replaced by someone new who appears to be friends with the super who was unresponsive and we started having problems again.

Awful place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
I liked almost nothing about the building
Cons:
Roach infested, with nothing ever done about it. Barely responsive sup, even worse management. They yelled at me for trying to get things fixed.
Advice to owner:
Quit your job.

I pay too much for this
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large living space and storage, close to fort tryon and transit
Cons:
-The super is unresponsive most of the time, even about major issues in the apartment; neglectful -there’s a roach issue -the inside of the building isn’t cleaned enough -it’s not clear when terminator visits -no laundry facilities -no elevator
Advice to owner:
Check in on what your super is doing/hire someone that is responsive and repairs things in the building.
