You get what you pay for
Former Tenant

Well maintained but above restaurants
Former Tenant
Pros:

Above Dyckman bars and restaurants so building had roaches and outside was very noisy at night
Advice to owner:
Fix roach issue

Had a good experience living here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lots of washing machines, landscaping, had an easy time with mail (but lived on ground floor)
Cons:
Could hear neighbors upstairs, a LOT of street noise, hot water went out a lot especially in winter

Old building with good apartments but horrible foundation and management.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartment was nice and large. Nice courtyard and large entrance gates. Building provides monthly pest control if needed.
Cons:
Entrance gates were usually open and the lock on doors to get inside each building usually did not work either (aka anyone can get inside). Apartments were large but in old prewar buildings which means only stairs and lots of them. Apartments were old, had rickety floors and top windows were screwed shut as they could not stay open on their own. Cloth insulation around the wires caused two electrical fires within the span of two years. Property managers and building managers were constantly being rotated and you would have to reach out to a different person every few months. Building manager actively ignored messages and calls from myself and the superintendent forcing me to spend about a month and a half without a working shower. The list goes on but I think the point has been made.
Advice to owner:
No advice just criticism.

Slumlord extraordinaire
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors are cool and the courtyard is nice
Cons:
The landlords are horrible rat infestations, roach infestations. Never fix anything properly, use intimidation tactics. Also taking money from shady, drug dealer owned businesses and helping them launder money, just despicable nyc slumlords. Avoid any of their buildings, there is one lawsuit after another against them
Advice to owner:
Nothing I say would help, when you have no morals or humanity

Change the super
Former Tenant
Pros:
Near to the park
Cons:
The super’s attitude and his laziness
Advice to owner:
Change the super

The worst management company manages these buildings
Former Tenant
Pros:
Space of my apartment
Cons:
Loud, dirty, theft problem, bugs etc.
Advice to owner:
Care for your tenants, not just the restaurant tenants and maintain the buildings
