So noisy it’s insane
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice building, great closet space, always clean, laundry in building, etc. The units themselves are lovely.
Cons:
You will hear everything your neighbors do. Like when their microwave goes off. Or their child screams. Or their dishwasher goes off. The front doors are hollow. Hollow! When our neighbors upstairs moved, the new upstairs neighbors drove us nuts with their constant banging and stomping & playing basketball or dance dance revolution or whatever the heck they were doing. We complained constantly and management did NOTHING but shame & gaslight US for complaining. Also the heat did diddly squat for the first two years and very little was done about it. They label it a “luxury” building & charge above market value for the neighborhood but you will hear your neighbors constantly. It’s not worth the cost of rent.
Advice to owner:
Don’t be so cheap when you build things

Horrible Greedy Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great amenities, clean, upgraded.
Cons:
Thin floors, you can hear the neighbors walking above you. Rude management who use loopholes to steal deposits.
Advice to owner:
You’ve tossed out almost half the tenants in the past year, due to doubling the rent. Shame on you.

I like it... so far
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator is a life saver. Laundry in unit is great. Love the aesthetic of the floors and the kitchen.
Cons:
Laundry is expensive. Neighborhood doesn't feel safe. Very high water pressure in bathroom sink.
Advice to owner:
Make yourself more available to your tenants

Had more potential than what it offered
Former Tenant
Pros:
- The building is brand new
- Great sound isolation, can barely hear the street with windows closed
- Apartments are neat and spacious for the price, some units have balconies
- In fact, units with balconies are less noisy as they’re facing an empty lot
- Decent crowd among neighbors
Cons:
- Kitchen furniture is pretty cheap, some design flaws here and there
- Heating is HORRIBLE. Absolutely horrible. 2 winters in a row the whole building was freezing. A/C units let in too much air, heaters are useless, and so is the management about this
- Spent 3 months without a properly functioning elevator with multiple people getting stuck in it because the building wouldn’t turn it off (legal reason, I assume)
- The management is extremely dismissive, gives a ton of attitude. Constantly felt like a lab rat, some part of an experiment on how much people are willing to put up with. It takes months of complaints for the management to start even considering looking into the issue, even building-wide
- No live-in super
- Overall, do your research on Inwood before moving here. I liked the area, but it can get really noisy
Advice to owner:
Please timely address issues with the building and fix your heat
