230 East 30th
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing location, updated appliances and beautiful bathroom
Cons:
Small when flexed, no overhead light
Good for your first apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Solid location with basic amenities. Walking distance from restaurants, bars, Trader Joe’s. George the super is really responsive. Overall a good place to start if you’ve just moved to NYC and don’t mind making the trade-off of space/amenities for convenience.
Cons:
We had a rodent issue that was resolved relatively quickly. No package organization - literally everything gets dumped in a pile in the mail room - resulting in package theft.

Good location, solid building
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s a solid building with two elevators, laundry in basement, and virtual building access
Cons:
Construction has been going on for a while and not sure when it will end. Also packages are regularly stolen, but that’s normal
Advice to owner:
Figure something out for stolen packages, doesn’t have to be anything too elaborate

Some bedrooms do not get AC or heat, reoccurring target for break ins and robberies, mice, unresponsive and unhelpful management
Advice to owner:
Care more about the tenants

Great building would move back
Former Tenant
Pros:
George is a great super! He’s very responsive and friendly. The overall building is a great place and so is the neighborhood.
Cons:
If anything the laundry facilities could be a little neater but they’re not dirty.

Over a decade here and pretty happy
Former Tenant
Pros:
The superintendent George is the BEST
The laundry room is convenient; 24/7; noise not bothering anyone
Cons:
It's Kips Bay so lots of 20-somethings and very noisy
Pain in the ass getting my rental deposit back; took months possibly due to change in personnel and me falling through the cracks but I had to email and call many times
Over 1 year ago
Decent kips bay property
Former Tenant
Pros:
I was there from July 2019 to March 2020. The super was responsive for requests. The building made move-out during Covid fairly easy. AC worked fine. Location is convenient. Electronic rental payments.
Cons:
Poorly/yellow lit hallways. Laundry was a bit of a coin toss as always is the case with having laundry in the building - many tenants and few machines meant stuff constantly getting chucked out of the washer right after it beeps, by someone else who was waiting. At one point the kitchen was renovated over a period of several days leaving the kitchen completely barren and useless, we probably should've been compensated for that in some way. Massive unreasonable security deposit of 3 months rent, I couldn't believe between the 3 of us as roommates we had to pay 15k security deposit, though we got it all back after move out. Note: if you have not seen the article about the psycho posing as a delivery man who assaulted a poor woman who lived in this building, you should look it up.
Advice to owner:
Install better security system / camera buzzers
