Really bad Leasing Staff
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good sized apartments
Cons:
Leasing staff completely lies about inventory, pricing, and negotiations. They also do not honor referrals. They're extremely rude. There is always a price to pay and amenities are never free
Advice to owner:
Fire your leasing staff - the manager & his employee were terrible. They owe my referral $500.

Great little community
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building has a feel of a community. The neighbors are friendly and the building staff is wonderful.
Cons:
The elevators are horrible. They are always going out of service. Even when they are all functioning you could be waiting 10 minutes for to arrive.

Gateway management review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Air works well Clean Quiet
Cons:
Management is extremely rude and not accommodating at all. They will yell at you for their website not working. They will turn off your auto pay and not tell you so that you have late payments. When you bring it up to them they don’t respond or say they don’t care.
Advice to owner:
Have better efforts to be nice to your tenants

Great place to live until it wasn’t.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Larger than average apts, the pool is amazing, fantastic location, lots of fun family oriented events
Cons:
Very unwilling to work with current tenants trying to move into larger apts or get concessions during corona. Refused to let tenants be month to month and would rather start the eviction process on tenants even if they paid rent on time every month. Tried to raise rent 10% during the height of coronavirus while similar apts on higher floor with better views were vacant or being advertised for $600 less!
Advice to owner:
Find friendlier people to work in the management office. People that actually want to keep good tenants in the building

Noise Problem
Former Tenant
Pros:
I enjoy the size of the apartment and the amount of storage space it offers. Additionally, all the tenants I’ve met have been very friendly and welcoming.
Cons:
I know previous reviews of this building say the noise is not an issue but I will warn that if you move into a studio apartment here, that is unlikely to be the case. My studio is the result of faulty subdividing of a larger unit causing me to hear everything my neighbor is doing (talking on the phone, playing music, watching tv, vacuuming, cutting vegetable, sneezing, etc...). Both my neighbor and I have contacted management about the issue and they have ignored our concerns. I understand NYC comes with noise but I have never lived in a place where so much noise has come through the wall and where management has been so unresponsive and neglectful.
Advice to owner:
Insulate the walls between apartments and respond to your tenants when concerns are raised.
