Solid building with good management

Clean, great doormen, very responsive to maintenance requests

Expensive but worth it

Pros:
Management is really on top of things. Maintenance requests are easy to file and quickly resolved. Building staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a great location. You pay a premium but you get a lot.
Cons:
The unit I rented had a heater that literally could not be turned off. The winter was miserably overheated and blasting hot air constantly. Had to leave windows open all the time to cool off. Really weird for a newer luxury building, but it’s only an issue in some units.
Advice to owner:
Consider making 808 amenities available to other UDR tenants.

Had to move apartments in same building…second experience better

Pros:
Friendly staff
Overall very clean
Responsive maintenance
Great location
Cons:
Had cockroach issue on low floor. I felt management did not do a great job fixing the issue. Took many weeks of back and forth complaining. Kept seeing them. Finally got moved to a higher floor and have not seen any since. But it was a lot of begging and arguing that was unnecessary.
Advice to owner:
Stay on top of pest complaints. Fix the problem fast. If can’t be fixed, be accommodating. Don’t make tenants beg and threaten to leave or report it to DOH.

Nice and friendly

Pros:
- Location is good. There are Whole Foods, Home Goods, Michaels, Chipotle, Starbucks, Rite Aid and BofA within the block. I loved how Whole Foods is literally across the street - I could look out to the windownl and see the store. Very convenient. Also Trader Joe's is only few blocks down.
-Professional, friendly staffs. The doormen are very nice and professional. Some of them went above and beyond when I needed help.
-Maintenance is prompt and efficient. I always had all my maintenance requests addressed the same day.
Cons:
I had no issues while living in the building. The only thing I wished they could have handled better is that they refused to extend my lease for few more months. It was last June when the pandemic affected the vacancy rate greatly and I had to extend my lease until September or October but the management denied my request. My unit left vacant for few more months since I moved out. It would have been easier for me and the management if they let me stay few more months.
Advice to owner:
Lease extension and rent negotiations

Awful Building Management

Pros:
Park views are nice
Cons:
The maintenance staff used my apartment as a lounge while I was away on vacation. I found one of their jackets hanging in my closet with their car keys in the pocket upon my return. The visitor key log downstairs even showed that staff were checking out the spare key for my apartment while I was gone.
Advice to owner:
Respect tenants’ privacy.

Pros:
Concierge and maintenance crew are super friendly and always on board to help; amenities are great and properly maintained; neighbors are really nice too
Cons:
A little too expensive. Would’ve liked more flexibility for a 2year lease.

Keep up such a professional team
