Cheap Price and worse quality
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent price is not overly expensive.
Large room sizes.
Cons:
There is a huge pest problem in the building. Had to get rid/block out the mice and roaches on my own. Exterminator made snobby comments and didn’t do much.
For the majority of the winter there is a lack of heating. It only comes on for about 5 mins and then cuts off. Hardly ever gets to state mandated temperatures.
Maintenance is very quick patch work. They never provide an actual fix, it’s a cover up so you can’t see the problem for a couple months, but it will surely come back.
Mold grows endlessly in the bathroom. The only way to remove it is with bleach and a rag. Landlord says it’s non emergent and they don’t do anything to remedy it. I have to scrub it myself.
Parking in the neighborhood is terrible. Almost 2-3 hrs alone should be dedicated to finding a parking.
There is no camera or security. Packages get stolen quite often. Landlord refuses to install cameras.
Tenants put their garbage in the walkway to the backyard and block up the whole way then the landlord digs through the garbage and tickets everyone who couldn’t get passed to take their garbage to the right location.
The landlord is hardly ever available.
The maintenance person is missing many times and have to wait Atleast a week to have work done.
They never fix anything unless it turns into a catastrophe even if you tell them before it happens.
Advice to owner:
Install cameras in the building and in the walkway to remove garbage.
Make the building more secure for tenants so they can feel safe.
Keep the apartments clean and provide better extermination services.
