Maintenance is done on a daily basis, management is usually very responsive to complaints. The superintendent seems to have gotten lazy, after being reinstated by their union. Fortunately, SimplyBetter maintenance workers manage to keep the promises relatively clean, floors mopped daily, and staff are friendly and pleasant. The units are rather spacious as old buildings tend to have.
Cons:
Some of the newer tenants have become a problem, the ones who tend to be loud also are the ones who litter. SimplyBetter management could improve their vetting practices, they need to screen tenants as it was routinely done 20+ years ago. Further, for the last five years or so, their boiler has broken down several times—this past winter, we relied on heaters. Many complaints from tenants, no response from SimplyBetter, and regrettably, the 2100-2110 Bronx Park E superintendent is useless.
Advice to owner:
Get rid of the current superintendent and screen prospective tenants. It'd be nice to fix the boiler too before winter hits.

Scary Elevator
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent - thought it was a good deal until I got stuck in the elevator
Cons:
I was stuck in the elevator 3 weeks after moving in. It’s been out of service for 2 weekends however it doesn’t look repaired. Scary basement - don’t want to do laundry there. Would rather lug my crap outside.
Advice to owner:
If your asking for 4x the rent as a salary you really need to deliver. I doubt many ppl in my building make that much however I do and unfortunately live in these circumstances.
