Better Options Out
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is full of friendly people and the neighborhood is nice. Close to transportation.
Cons:
Building is not well kept. Lobby and hallways are not well kept. Access system is horrible. Endless issues with stolen packages and intruders. Onsite super is not helpful. Windows don't open for easy clean and the owners don't assist. After a while they get so dirty you can barely see out adn have to clean them yourself. Old heating system constantly making noise. No onsite amenities except washer and dryers in the basement where the elevator door barely allows you to get out in the basement. Dead roaches in the basement everywhere.
Advice to owner:
If you are going to charge renters so much for the apartment, provide some upkeep.

Always felt like they were doing just enough to get by - super would shame you when you asked for thing to be fixed

Great neighborhood unresponsive owner for maintenance and issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment is in a great neighborhood in Brooklyn Heights. The area is safe, close to subways, stores, and river areas.
Cons:
Building is on Joralemon Street which is a main road down to the riverside and is noisy with foot traffic into the evening, especially during the summer. The building super is not responsive to maintaining the items that break in the apartment. The hallways are also generally dirty. The building also has the worse entry system and complaints to the owner have not helped.
Advice to owner:
Please repair the front door access control system. It is terrible and does not work well making it difficult for tenants to easily access the building. Get a new super to be able to fix the most basic things in the apartments and better maintain the building.

Nice house and are to live in
Former Tenant
Pros:
The Super is super! The House is clean, the tenants are all in all friendly.
Cons:
In the first couple of years, we’ve had tenants above us who have been very inconsiderate when it came to noise and being open to our information exchange with them. But as soon as they moved out, everything was okay. In short: The house is quite noisy and it depends on the neighbors how much it affects the quality of housing. Better renovation quality is urgently needed!

Cute but Expensive
Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly community, responsive super, pretty good on pest control except the 2 roaches when I first moved in. Lots of recycling options which I love and the apartment itself is very spacious for a 1 bedroom.
Cons:
Heat sucks, water pressure is like a llama spitting on you, fridge broke twice, all my lights went out after moving in, and walls are paper thin. I can hear my neighbors fart. My microwave shorts out after 30 seconds and I have to reset the breaker. Also it’s expensive as hell.
Advice to owner:
Please be more on top of safety issues like a shorting microwave and black mold in the bathrooms. Kids live in this apartment building. Also, my radiators don’t work half the time. It’s cold!
