Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent renter reviews for 1467 Bedford Avenue highlight the building's stylish features like exposed brick walls and large windows, with a cozy and character-filled ambiance. Tenants appreciate the responsive newmanagement by Frontgate, improved garbage management, and efficient heat and water pressure. However, concerns include noisy events from the first-floor commercial space, occasional pest issues, and significant rent hikes post-renovations. Despite these drawbacks, the stunning roof deck and Bluetooth speakers add charm. Some suggest better pest control measures and more affordable laundry services to enhance the overall living experience.

cozy and character filled apartments
Former Tenant
Pros:
love the exposed brick and the wood ceiling details. so much character and the windows in my bedroom are huge. nice sized bathroom and roof is nice. no designated package room, but we have never had any issues with neighbors stealing packages. they can even sit for a week plus and no one will take them. also bluetooth system in the ceiling is cool
Cons:
laundry machine in basement is almost always in use. can hear music and foot steps but nothing crazy unless upstairs neighbors have dogs. not the most responsive maintenance. minor ant problem but no rats and only have ever seen a few roaches. they could do with new furniture on the roof

New management company is better but issues persist
Former Tenant
Pros:
Responsive management company (Frontgate) as of end of 2022 We had mice for two weeks but they sent an exterminator quickly and they were gone shortly after Previous company (Sharp) was terrible and we dealt with issues in the first floor below us for years, now it’s a physical therapy spot so very quiet
Cons:
Small renovations like painting hallway led to a HUGE rent hike, pricing us out of the building after 4 years

Not worth the price
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, close to Franklin’s restaurants and the Museum/Prospect Park. The unit itself had a really lovely exposed brick wall and large windows that let in a nice breeze.
Cons:
The hallways and staircases were absolutely disgusting. In the winter, my unit was so cold that I could see my breath. All 3 AC units broke, so they were useless in the summer. The hot water lasted about 10 minutes. So if I just finished washing dishes and wanted to take a shower, I needed to wait at least 4 hours for additional hot water. There’s an event space on the first floor that plays music so loud that it shakes the whole building. And the entire building stinks of stale weed, cigarettes, and body odor after each event. The shared laundry is so disgusting. The space itself is bad and difficult to get to, but the pet owners in the building never clean the nasty dog hair out after they use the washer and dryer. So that pet fur gets all wrapped up in the next person’s clothing. And when it came time to renew my lease, the rent increased by 43% without a single change to the unit.
Advice to owner:
Mini or Minny or whoever in the management office is absolutely one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. She is such a nasty person for the fun of it. Fire her immediately.

Pretty but Problematic
Former Tenant
Pros:
Landlord was fairly responsive to frequent maintenance requests, nice exposed brick and gorgeous roof deck, fun fancy features like built-in Bluetooth speakers
Cons:
Consistent maintenance issues, including worsening leaks, crafty mice and a few other pests (inc. roaches), noise from ground floor commercial space at night, expensive and so-so basement laundry, electric bills skyrocketed abruptly
