Devilish landlord, STAY AWAY

Pros:
Convenient location, fun neighborhood vibes
Cons:
No heat at all (broken), old building with mice and roaches, thin walls, very loud and noisy, stolen packages, no sense of security
Advice to owner:
No advice to the property owner because he’s a textbook sociopath who loves to gaslight tenants. Evil, greedy, dishonest owner who will gaslight you until you leave. If you piss him off, he will turn off all heat and hot water until you move out on your own. He DID NOT return our security deposit, in fact he admitted to spending it and ignored our calls. His real name is Steven Mackie but tries to stay off the grid by using a fake name. Black man (light skinned) in his late 50s. Medium height and build. Bald, glasses. Seems friendly until you start asking for basic things like fix a leaking hole in the ceiling or the heat. Every time someone from the city comes to check on the building or follow up on a violation, he refuses to let them enter and instructs tenants to ignore them.
