STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS
Former Tenant
Pros:
Near Herbert Von King Park
Cons:
Like everyone else has stated, if you can find somewhere else, do so. Also, if you can't find anywhere else, still don't rent here. Moses Cowan has some sort of situation with the resident on apt. 1 so he's there at all hours of the night, and he's absolutely going to gaslight you for anything that goes wrong in the apartment. Pest Control problems (Mice and Ants), electrical issues, the Optimum installation (the only internet option) to his "specifications" are never correct, and the list goes on. Team MNC Development is solely Moses Cowan, and you're almost certainly not getting your Security Deposit back if you rent here.

Insane landlord fr
Former Tenant
Pros:
People in the building Location Herbert Von King Park is closeby
Cons:
The landlord Moses Cowan is insane. He also pretends he doesn't live in the building.. he quite literally does. He will also blame you for everything a places a band aid on issues that clearly need stitches. Is a self-proclaimed pest control specialist, handyman but is sub par at all of it.
Advice to owner:
Sell!

Horrible landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Right by Herbert Von King Park
Cons:
In 6 months we’ve seen 3 mice and the landlord is negligent. As has been documented by other tenants here, he’s a weirdo with arbitrary rules and obviously lives on the first floor of the building (with his maybe girlfriend??).
Advice to owner:
Get some socio emotional intelligence

Do not rent here.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The negative out weighs any positive.
Cons:
This building is under horrible management. This landlord is a true definition of a slum lord. He lies about his identity and association with the leasing agency. Moses Cowens is the leasing agency there is no team of people, it is only him. Everything seemed fine until I actually moved in and decided to get the only cable service that’s allowed which is optimum. He threatened to cut my internet cord if I didn’t get the technicians to come and hem the wires back to the side of the building. Second time he wrote me to tell me that my window wasn’t allowed to be open due to inclement weather when it was a bright sunny day with no wind or rain and I was cooking. Third time he was painting in the hallway on the first floor and left the scent of paint off gassing for a week. The fourth floor tenant was ran out of the building in less than two weeks time because of his aggressive and unwelcoming nature. The tenants below me are in the process of wanting to break the lease. He doesn’t have the sanity to hold on to tenants. Small things become problems with this landlord. He tried to extort me for $800 because he speculated that a water leak in the basement started from my apartment and lied about a bill being sent to him from the city. I have yet to see this so call bill from the city. He also tried to raise the rent 30% going from $2000 rent to almost $3000 rent at lease renewal with no renovations to the occupancy. The apartment doesn’t justify the amount of rent he is asking for. Floors uneven, bad paint job, the list is long. He is always lurking around the building at odd hours. And lastly he enters your apartment even if you request that he doesn’t enter when you aren’t there. I recommend to not rent with this building. The landlord is unfit to maintain positive relationships with their tenants. It is now day 12 since my vacancy and I still don’t have my security deposit back.
Advice to owner:
Please sell your property you are not capable of being a landlord. You would make more if you treated your tenants better. Especially if they are paying on time in full.

Crazy Landlord Scammer
Former Tenant
Pros:
Pretty area, good price apartments for how large they are
Cons:
The landlord, Moses Cowan, harasses the tenants of this building to the point that there are none left. In the lease, he puts a statement that you must use Optimum wifi and have it installed according to "special instructions" which he never explains in detail. Once Optimum is installed, he claims it is never in accordance with the "special instructions" and will literally stalk you until you leave. I had Optimum come 4 times and they could never fix whatever issues he had with the installment. He showed up at my apartment at all odd hours, I received threatening emails from the management company he runs (Team MNC Development), and ultimately did not feel safe in the building. There are no deadbolts on the door, and although Mr. Cowan denies it it is obvious he lives on the bottom floor (why else is the manager of the building there at 11PM on a Saturday night? Very outside of typical working hours.). There is a camera set up outside the front door where he watches and records his tenants in real time, sending out emails accordingly if he sees them do something he does not approve of (example: I gave my parents keys to my apartment as I was living alone, and I received countless emails about how I am not allowed to give keys to my apartment to anyone else each time they came over). He does not give a phone number for tenants to reach management/him at which is illegal as well. I suspect ultimately this is all a part of a scam to get tenants to leave quickly and lose their security deposit as he is a lawyer and he knows it will cost the tenant more money to bring him to court. Beware!
Advice to owner:
Stop harassing your tenants.
