Spacious Apartments, Poor Management

Pros:
It's a beautiful building with spacious units and roof access
Cons:
Poor, often unresponsive management, and quite loud (Nostrand is a truck route).

AVOID THIS BUILDING

Pros:
The building is old with lovely details like arched doorways.
Cons:
Electric hasn't been upgraded in decades and fuses blow all the time. Hallways and front entrance aren't cleaned regularly. There is a vermin problem in some apartments. Bodega on the corner attracts a lot of noise and violence . Fights are common and there was a shooting last year.
Advice to owner:
Stop being a slum landlord.

Pros:
The heat works wonderfully almost all of the time. The roof is amazing. The location can’t be beat. Rent is low when you consider size of apt and location. Also - you NEVER hear your neighbors. It’s amazing, the walls are really thick.
Cons:
Management is slow to address issues when they arise (we had no heat for like a week during a winter, and the cooking has went out for several days another time). Bad communication w tenants. The garbage is also out of control in the front area. It’s gotten so bad in the past that I’ve called 311.
Advice to owner:
Keep your building cleaner and email tenants with updates about building problems or maintenance needs.

Pros:
Nice roof, close to the A train, relatively inexpensive
Cons:
Rats, Roaches, Unresponsive maintenance, Unlawful entry of Landlord/brokers, Unsafe entrance (people break in the front door with a plastic card easily.
Advice to owner:
Please take care of the safety and cleanliness of the building before someone gets hurt/files a report.
