They don't care about you.
Former Tenant
Pros:
I liked my neighbors.
Cons:
The apartment floods. There are slow leaks throughout the building which resulted in 4 separate ceiling leaks. Two in the bedroom, one in the restroom, and one where water was pouring from the ceiling in the living space. There are always pests. You can hear rats or mice in the walls at night, ant colonies come in during the spring. Spiders, roaches, and house centipedes fight for survival. Forgot about the year round fruit flies. They come and spray, but the floors were so poorly sealed and the holes throughout the apartment still let these creatures in. It's "renovated", but everything breaks so easily. A pipe burst under the kitchen sink within the first few months and the pipes in the bathroom sink began to erode and leak. If management cared about the building, this could be a great place but it's falling apart and they do the bare minimum. Never once did they formally address the flooding after countless pleas.
Advice to owner:
Invest in your property. Invest in your tenants and provide decent housing. You'll get people that stay, create community, and help take care of the building. Your tenants pay on time and well over what what this space is worth.

Bed Bugs Beware
Former Tenant
Pros:
The interiors were new, but the layout was terrible. The rear room was very narrow.
Cons:
There were bed bugs in the walls. The hallways were not clean. The entry stoop constantly had neighbors hanging around.
Advice to owner:
Get rid of the bed bugs and take care of your existing tenants.
