Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 266 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn highlight a strong community with friendly neighbors and a prime location near amenities. The building offers spacious units with convenient in-building laundry and some updated appliances. However, many tenants report persistent issues with pest infestations (including rodents and cockroaches), poor management responsiveness, and maintenance problems like plumbing leaks, broken elevators, and package thefts. While some find the building quiet and well-maintained, others describe it as aging and poorly managed, with concerns about mold and cleanliness. Rent stabilization varies, and management communication is frequently cited as a key area needing improvement.

Pros:
The location was wonderful, very tenure residents that’s help build community. The building is old but well taken care of. Having an elevator for laundry is very nice.
Cons:
Limited natural light in interior units, I had mold in my ground floor studio.
Advice to owner:
Could find a more secure package system

Everything But the Pests
Former Tenant
Pros:
GREAT location, friendly super, felt safe, liked my neighbors, cute apartment
Cons:
Roach infestation inevitable because it’s a larger building problem. I had two types of roaches and a mouse. Hopefully, it had gotten better since 2018…
