I have PTSD from living here
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is amazing (if he’s still there). Great location. Spacious units. Laundry in building.
Cons:
Plumbing not great: toilet was really sensitive and always clogged. Kitchen sink overfilled with other peoples dishwater. Regular critters. Fire alarm went off a lot. Worst of all, I had the neighbor from hell. Absolute psychopath. Would pound on my wall for exercising or cooking at 6pm (yes, I chop onions too loud), then wound blare music so loud I could feel bass in my floor until 4am and started again at 9am. Threatened the woman above me. Cops were call over a dozen times. Was scared to be home; he was a big dude and I didn’t know what he was capable of. Owner did nothing despite constant complaints. I couldn’t get out of my lease even though it was unlivable at that point. Had to pay out the rest of my lease, but had to get out. He’s lived there for years so wouldn’t be surprised if he still is.
Advice to owner:
Just do better. Jeeez.
