Save Yourself $$$ and Sanity, Do Not Rent Here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Smack dab in "prime" Williamsburg (which is also a con on the weekend as Bedford Ave gets PACKED now) & just a block away from the Bedford Ave stop
Cons:
The owners of this building tout themselves as agreeable Mom & Pop landlords who are up against behemoth property real estate developers and a rapidly changing neighborhood. Do not be fooled, however, as this building actually operates like a slum. It is falling apart from top to bottom, from flooding basements, backed up sewage that produces a horrible odor in common areas and your unit, to leaking and collapsing ceilings. There are pest galore from ants, roaches, mice, and even rats that made their way into the building. The units are small, chopped in half from only slightly larger single floor apartments. The added walls are thin and not sound proof so you can easily hear your neighbors.

Even with the right price, this building is unbearable. The owners are either horribly unresponsive OR breathing down your neck, waiting to pounce on any perceived wrong you've done towards them or their crumbling building. They are taking advantage of people hoping to live in Williamsburg and getting away with it because of the allure of the neighborhood. It is not worth the struggle and the headache you will go through living in this building
Advice to owner:
Sell the building and let someone who is skilled and actually cares renovate it
