Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 265 South 2 Street in Brooklyn reflect a mixed but predominantly critical tenant experience. The building offers attractive features like roof access, laundry facilities, dishwashers, and a prime Williamsburg location. Tenants acknowledge decent water pressure and sometimes helpful management or superintendents. However, persistent issues overshadow these positives: pest infestations (especially roaches and rodents), poor maintenance, unreliable heating, package theft, and inadequate cleaning—particularly in common areas and stairs. Noise and thin walls detract from comfort, with a notably young and loud resident demographic. Management responsiveness is frequently described as slow or dismissive. Rent prices are viewed as high relative to the condition and size of units.

Bugs & Poor Upkeep
Former Tenant
Pros:
There’s roof access and the apartment has a dishwasher and laundry in building.
Cons:
The first floor and stairs are NEVER cleaned. the super is consistently unresponsive and management doesn’t do anything about it. there are consistent bug problems that management refuses to resolve. water and fridge temperature fluctuates without reason. units are very small and there are no closets in the general living space.
Advice to owner:
get pest control. and stop upcharging rent for a terribly kept apartment building.
