Decent Building, Great Neighborhood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly building and neighborhood, my unit is sun-filled and recently renovated, not all in building are.
Cons:
Common areas of the building are very dirty, the street is very loud and the sounds echo through the apartment, even on the fourth floor. Management is slower to respond and to fix issues, although the have always followed through with eventually with a bit of nagging.
Advice to owner:
Prices are a bit high for the neighborhood competition.

Don't Live Here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice location for commuting to Manhattan - that's about it.
Cons:
Major pest issues, management is completely unresponsive, and the building superintendent lets people hang out and drink and smoke on the front steps all day. No access to crucial utilities in unit. Tons of leaks and noise from in and out of the building.
Advice to owner:
needs new management

Avoid- Stay Away!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is awesome and the neighbors are nice but the super can only do so much with this falling apart dumpster fire
Cons:
Mice, cockroaches, the walls are so drenched in water from the rain and haven’t been repaired properly so curtain rods just fall tight out. Worst of all the management is TOTALLY unresponsive and rude unless they need something from you and then they are threatening and harassing you constantly.

Old, mostly functional building with not great management
Former Tenant
Pros:
High ceilings, good sized rooms
Cons:
Outlets overload + breaker flips occasionally, unhelpful super, management often out of office or unresponsive, uneven and thin walls
Advice to owner:
Maintain units better and stop cheaping out on maintenance

Would Not Recommend
Former Tenant
Pros:
Affordable for 1br Building allows dogs/pets
Cons:
I have to leave the hot water running for 30-40 minutes for it to get hot enough to shower in. Have spoken to management about this many times in the past 1.5 months. Still nothing. Management sends plumbers / handymen over without a name or number or heads up. Often they just look around and say they will come back (sometimes they do!) Heat/Gas not covered. My apartment had water coming out of the ceiling once a month for the first 5 months I was a tenant. Usually just in the bathroom, in one case it was bathroom, kitchen, bedroom. Extremely loud street. The bodega across the street or cars pull up and blast music for hours at a time.
Advice to owner:
Be responsive and actually fix things
