Older building with reoccurring issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very cool space, generally nice neighbors. Usually clean.
Cons:
Hallways leak when it storms. Just an old building. Management try’s to take care of the issues that occur but it seems many occur.
Advice to owner:
Update the building for the residents, not the empty space downstairs.

No one cares
Former Tenant
Pros:
Big and Sunny lofts
Cons:
Higher bills for gass and electricity. No recycling. Street or corridor rarely gets cleaned. Very noisy forced air heating. Bad heat and sound isolation. Leaking roof. Packages constantly get stolen. Unresponsive super. Impossible to get access to elevator.
Advice to owner:

It’s a slum
Former Tenant
Pros:
You can do whatever you want
Cons:
Mold, constant leaking, garbage everywhere, scummy landlords, incompetent supor and persistent illegal construction on the weekends resulting in blocked fire exits for periods lasting more than 24 hours.
Advice to owner:
Stop being a corrupt slumlord who pays off the loft board.

Great neighborhood, sketchy building
Former Tenant
Pros:
But windows spacious units and access to large rooftop with great views for sunset
Cons:
Exposed wiring in building, leaking stairwells and windows in unit. One bed bug incident that I managed to resolve myself. Poor kitchen set up. I rented a rooM and landlord wouldn’t even put a door on. I had to purchase my own door and pay someone to install it for my bedroom.
Advice to owner:
Renovate the building

Absent landlord but goodtime
Former Tenant
Pros:
Fun, lawless, good light
Cons:
Management is the worst. Refuses to fix huge leaks, sewage issues, etc. Tries to charge tenants with arbitrary policies not in lease. Packages stolen all the time
Advice to owner:
Try a different buisness ?
