Great location, not great management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Proximity to L train and restaurants/grocery stores/coffee shops
Cons:
PACKAGE THEFT in entrance hallway + mailboxes were not securely fastened to the wall, making it possible to pull the entire setup down from the top and access any unit’s mailbox. Sporadic rat and fly infestations in basement preventing use of in-building laundry machines. Exorbitant ConEd bills. AC broke on the hottest day of the year in July and was not fixed for a week, while heat broke on the coldest day of the year in January and was not fixed for a week.

Constant Rodent Issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent sized apartment
Cons:
Constant issues with rodents/smells. One of our toilets hardly worked and we were told to just live with it. We experienced flooding, had a leak from the neighbor upstairs that happened 6 times before it was actually fixed. New management is more responsive but the building itself isn't in great shape.

severe rat problem
Former Tenant
Pros:
good location, beautiful rooftop view, close to transit
Cons:
there’s a major rat problem in this building. we had multiple rats that got into our apartment. the rest of them lived within the walls and the building/our apartment constantly smells like decomposing rats. during the summer months, every time the rats would die, we would get major fly infestations. and I mean hundreds and hundreds of flies. you would assume a person died in the apartment that’s how bad it was. the last rat I saw in our apartment was january 2023. on top of the rats, we dealt with major flooding problems whenever it would rain heavily. our unit also flooded from the ceiling due to issues with the upstair unit’s bathroom. our packages were stolen constantly, people on the street tear through the garbage bags all the time and leave trash all over the sidewalk. we had roaches too of course. there were many moments where the apartment was not suitable for people to live in any longer, but we were stuck there. on top of all of that, management does not clean the units in preparation for the arrival of new tenants. we moved into a dirty and worn apartment and I watched other tenants do the same. I would strongly advise against living in this building. the location is not worth it.

Rats rats rats
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is in a good location, lots of space in unit, rooftop access, hardwood floors and exposed brick
Cons:
Constant rat infestations (they die inside our walls and smell), plumbing issues, water leaking from upstairs units, “central” heating only heats the small common area
Advice to owner:
Maintain the property better

could be better
Former Tenant
Pros:
location is the best thing. You are next to the L train, the park, restaurants and grocery stores. Great if you are just looking for an affordable place to live or in college
Cons:
the laundry room is gross. In fact the whole building is dirty no one cleans it properly especially the roof top. It is not well maintained. The front door breaks at least 2 times a month. During the winter it get really cold because of the strong draft from the lobby. When it rains the rooftop window leaks. The garbage here is gross everything and anything is thrown out here from random people on the street.
Advice to owner:
Get a better super that will maintain the building better
