Lot of space but a lot of problems
Former Tenant
Pros:
Space - the apartment is large
Cons:
Roaches, mice, flooding, lack of response from landlord, loud neighbors, garbage collection problems, electrical problems
Advice to owner:
Stop being a slumlord

Terrible trash everywhere and sewage
Former Tenant
Pros:
There are no pros
Cons:
The Trash never gets taken out in time so it gets accumulated into the area where there should be access to laundry room, so basically laundry room isnt usable.... the laundry room and first floor apartments FLOOD Every time it rains not to mention gets backed up with sewage (yes black water) water. It takes them few days to clean it but they never do it properly. The neighbors are all in their 20’s and its a nightmare bunch of kids running up and down the stairs
Advice to owner:
Quit masking the problem and fix it

For Ages 22-26
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location for public transportation and local bars, chill bodega and rear windows face an empty lot. Great for sunsets and small view of city skyline. Lived on top floor and enjoyed skylight. Building should be looked at as dorm style living and not true apartments.
Cons:
Shady and quick changeover from previous tenants which resulted in us paying for their damages when we moved out. Sockets were coming apart. The built in sound system was blown. The walls are paper thin so you can feel and hear everything from your bedroom that may occur in apartment and building. Annoying to do laundry past the piles of garbage. Neighbors are often loud but this only bothers gentrifiers.
Advice to owner:
Communication and empathy would be nice. And not just communicating when you’re asking for rent.

I guess you could live here if you really had to
Former Tenant
Pros:
AC, dishwasher, laundry in basement
Cons:
No maintenance, pest issues, loud hallways/staircase, very little natural light in common spaces. Management is impossible to get a hold of and won’t fix anything.
Advice to owner:
Maintain the property/units better and respond to your tenants
