Terrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The balcony is awesome, and it’s in a good area of bushwick. The 3 bedrooms are great for a couple or potentially 2 roommates, but it’s otherwise crowded. Prices are fair for bushwick and the backyard (though overgrown) is huge. The dishwashers are nice too. Ruby the maintenance guy is awesome! The best part about living there.
Cons:
The backyard is totally overgrown with weeds and tall grass, making it pretty unusable. All of the furniture is also broken or destroyed. The roof is unfinished, with pieces of flooring scattered across it. The units are small, and you can hear everything through the walls. The dryer doesn’t dry clothes and takes about 4 cycles (paying each time), to dry them. The boiler room has issues so the water (which was once hot and powerful) is now slow and warm. Things look modern/new but in reality they fall apart super easily. By far, the worst part of this apartment is the management. Completely unresponsive for months, losing paperwork and being extremely unprofessional and rude. They claim they don’t have documents and try everything they can to screw your over at any given time.
Advice to owner:
Be responsive and be truthful. These are people’s lives and money you’re dealing with.
