Good, over priced
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good apartment space, quiet street
Cons:
Common area dirty quick( but cleaned once a week), rent increase makes apartments too expensive
Over 2 years ago
No heat for 1 month, water leak for 2 months
Former Tenant
Pros:
High ceilings, hard wood floors.
Cons:
I have a 1 year lease in this building and I can’t wait for the lease to be over! The management, J. Wasser, is unresponsive to the many ongoing issues. The building didn’t have heat for an entire month in November/December (freezing winter time) and on top of that the power goes out randomly every couple weeks or months. We had a leak in our bathroom ceiling for 2 months that went unfixed, and it took about 3 or 4 appointments with the repairmen to actually fix the damage. In addition, the best they could offer us was 18% off of 1 months rent for all of our trouble. A neighbor told me they had lived in the building for nearly a decade, and never seen it as bad as when we got this new management company.
Advice to owner:
Fix issues more quickly and work with tenants to make a fare rent price for what you’re offering.
