Do not move in here!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The best thing is the amazing corner store on 55th and Clarkson. That’s it’s!
Cons:
There’s no pest control, he doesn’t have them check even if you ask...he will tell you you must pay for it yourself! There’s mice in the building and roaches. There were bedbugs on the first floor, and he only checked there. So ofcourse, they appeared later on the second floor, but he did nothing, just blamed the tenants for bringing them into his building. A tenant on the second floor is filthy, you can smell the garbage from his place. The landlord is a heavy drinker, forgets a lot of conversations, and then becomes angry and spiteful even if you are just asking for minimum landlord requirements. He also feeds stray cats in the backyard that were confirmed to have fleas. He blasts his music in the summertime and sometimes even leaves the premises. The cops were called at 3am, to come and cut the wire of the speaker in the backyard. The teens next door sell drugs and have new cars every week....someone was shot between the buildings about two years ago. The landlord smokes weed with the teens so that doesn’t make you feel any safer. Lastly, the heat is either unbearable that you must crack a window OR there’s absolutely no heat at all, 3-1-1 was called numerous times. All in all, just not a good landlord, would not recommend!
Advice to owner:
Just sell the building to someone who actually cares about their tenants and has respect for relationships, women, and same sex couples.
