Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for 348 Maple Street in Brooklyn highlight numerous issues. Residents express frustration with poor management, inconsistent hot water, drafty windows, and dirty, cigarette-littered hallways. Maintenance delays, inadequate communication, and a lack of proactive repairs contribute to a negative living experience. Concerns about water safety, mold, limited electrical outlets, and pest infestations are prevalent. Despite some positives like spacious units and friendly neighbors, the general consensus advises against moving in due to neglectful management and persistent issues that compromise comfort and safety. Building upkeep and responsiveness need significant improvement for a better living environment.

Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious 1 bedrooms
Cons:
The whole building and management is a disaster. Windows are super drafty. Hot water is inconsistent. Management will often turn off cold water without any notice. Tenants smoke cigarettes in the hallway. Each unit has a special brand of the landlords special.
Advice to owner:
Clean the hallways weekly. Actually follow through on repairs. Uphold terms of the lease. Enforce a no smoking policy.

Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious apartments, very kind super, nice people in the building.
Cons:
Two fire alarms have been chirping every minute for almost a year. They’re in the building next door (same owner) and can be heard throughout the entire building.
Noise from street. Trash is a problem. Disgusting hallways that are littered with cigarette butts and ash. Windows constantly falling off their tracks/breaking. Hot water is inconsistent. Lots of problems.
Advice to owner:
Just care a little bit? It’s not hard.
