Pretty ok place to live for the basics
Former Tenant
Pros:
Heat is full force in this building, water pressure is great, pest control comes every week, has an elevator,
Cons:
Almost impossible to get things fixed. Packages are stolen almost often. If you are new don’t get fooled by the new everything in the apartment. Give some time for things to fall apart you won’t see or hear from them until who knows when. I’ve been messaging them for months and all they’ve managed to do is look at the damages, I mean physically look at it and do absolutely nothing. It takes months for them to fix issues that should’ve been fixed earlier. The landlord drags his feet for the tenants that live there long term so if you’re coming to live here short term, you might have a better experience but not much different from the people who currently live here. Like any landlord they would rather paint over the problem than actually fix it so it won’t have to be addressed again.
Advice to owner:
Same amount of time you put into new apartments, the tenants there need the same attention and maintenance. Stop dragging your feet to complete tasks. Plan according to your tenants, be fair. Just like you these people work and when you want to send people interferes with their income that you need. So if there is something that needs to fixed work with your tenants the won’t affect their income.

not the worst not the best
Former Tenant
Pros:
I liked the location a lot, it was a beautiful old pre-war building. My neighbors were kind and I enjoyed the sunniness of the apartment a lot.
Cons:
Mangement was pretty unresponsive to problems with plumbing and the hallways and elevator were really rough looking. There were cosmetic fixes but the building was not properly maintained: chipping and peeling paint, the elevator smelled like dog urine and made a terrible sound. The apartment was alright, we had problems with cockroaches and dampness but overall was an okay space. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment because it was impossible to contact the landlord, the super could be reached sometimes but it often took a long time to get maintenance done.

run, and live anywhere else
Former Tenant
Pros:
low rent, but that's also a con
Cons:
the management is racists and homophobic. aside from this, they just don't work, including the super. there is literally a hole in my ceiling and they are refusing to fix it, give answers, or help. I was literally yelled at by the super in the halls when I asked him about fixing it.
