Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 150 Hawthorne Street in Brooklyn commend its spacious apartments, friendly neighbors, security features, and attentive superintendents. Residents appreciate the quiet neighborhood, good water pressure, laundry facilities, and the convenience of nearby amenities. However, there is a recurring pest problem, notably with roaches, impacting many units despite extermination efforts. Heating systems are often tricky to regulate, and package theft is a concern. Noise levels are generally low, but thin walls sometimes allow sound to travel. Owner responsiveness is mixed, with some praising timeliness and others noting delays. Efforts to improve maintenance and pest control are urged to enhance tenant satisfaction.

great building, but some roach issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
generous apartment layout, amazing super, great neighbors, quiet, wired for fios, laundry in building
Cons:
sadly, roaches. it varies by apartment, but mine has a severe infestation I can never get rid of. like, severe. with every type of cockroach. they even come up my bathtub and kitchen sinks
packages have 50/50 shot in getting stolen
like many new york apartments, the heating system demands your windows to be open in the winter / put the AC on, otherwise it's way too hot (and you can't control it)
Advice to owner:
fumigate the entire building to solve the coach problem
