Cheap, sweet, and much to be desired
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful wooden floors, old style architecture, sweet family-friendly neighbors
Cons:
rodent problem, negligent super and landlord, windows do not have locks by fire escape (nor can I get the super to install them after repeated attempts), radiator leaks, the hot water is unpredictable, sometimes extremely hot and other times lukewarm (showers go back and forth between being lukewarm/hot), the street and stairwell are unkempt. The heat has sometimes not been on when it should be and it's been cold in the house.
Advice to owner:
take better care of your tenants!

Poorly maintained apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large kitchen space
Cons:
The super is unresponsive and highly irresponsible. He
barely fixes anything and ignores all complaints regarding the living conditions. It takes MONTHS to get anything fixed, even something small as a door that doesn’t close properly. The staircases are dirty and barely cleaned as well as the broken glass door that seems to break any minute. The lights are never on in the staircase and living on the 3rd/4th floor, you have to use your flashlight to walk down/up. This is a hazardous because you are visually impaired from seeing the staircase properly which can cause a fall. Water pipes are always leaking and he barely fixes it. There was a mold in the cleaning and instead of scraping it out, he just painted over it. Most of the time, we have to repair most of the issues and out of pocket expenses because of the poor quality of work. Extremely relieved to be leaving this hellhole, new year - new place.
Advice to owner:
Don’t be neglectful and ignorant towards your tenants. Hire more qualified people to look after your apartments, there are families living here and it’s your responsibility to look after their welfare, after all you are taking their money.

Cons:

Advice to owner:
