Terrible management company
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location and we knew all of our neighbors because it was up to us to ban together to get things fixed in the apartment building.
Cons:
The front door would be broken for MONTHS allowing anyone inside. My neighbor woke up to a dehomed person sleeping in front of her apartment door. The management company refused to fix anything until we threatened them with a housing lawyer and they did not give our security deposit back.

Management is terrible
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors in the building are kind and quiet. The super is very nice and there's a man next door who will take care of any urgent needs
Cons:
Management is not responsive and the rent is too high for the quality of the building. Things are falling apart all the time and they won't show up to fix anything
Advice to owner:
Care for your tenants and we'll care for your building

Neat Location, Terrible Everything Else
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s very close to the M, J, and Z lines. Within walking distance of a lot of cool Bushwick things. Central heating is great in the winter.
Cons:
The units are uneven, both in a literal and style sense. My unit didn’t have level floors, as did a couple of other units in the building. Yet other units not only had level floors, but were completely remodeled within the past four or five years. In such a tiny building (7 legal units, 2 illegal units), you’d think they would put effort into making the units and building as a whole more hospitable. But instead, the building goes neglected. Theft is another major issue. When contacted about the broken lock on the front door and raging package theft problem, the landlord’s solution was to simply apply a frost to the glass of the front door and reinforce the lock with a steel plate, rather than taking more proactive measures. The backyard is also a fire hazard. It’s about 15sqft of concrete and an illegal building that takes up the rest of the yard, making any escape in the event of a fire near impossible. There’s no AC (which isn’t a big deal) and there is central heating (which is a proc), but units lack proper insulation and therefore even with the heater on or the window unit on, temperature regulation is difficult.
Advice to owner:
Remodel all the units, not just some. Demolish the building in the backyard. Shut down the illegal unit in the basement. Level the floors.
