Pros and Cons
Former Tenant
Pros:
Not cookie cutter apartment shapes. Do not look like all the same apartments that are in new buildings. Responsive Maintenance team to tickets
Cons:
Gym equipment is old Maintenance does not clean hallways/stairs often Old AC/Heat units that they do not want to replace (filters have holes in them)

Thinnest walls ever!!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Tall ceilings with large windows
Cons:
The walls are so incredibly thin – I can hear neighbors doing dishes, having normal conversations, opening the fridge… we should’ve broken the lease early but just started playing brown noise throughout the apartment loudly all the time
Advice to owner:
Insulate the walls (if that’s even possible)

Former Tenant
Pros:

Cons:

Pretty cool when it wasn’t 8 billion dollars
Former Tenant
Pros:
There was a nice ghost in unit 3D who would occasionally get into harmless mischief like hiding little objects and putting them back after you ripped the place apart in a very obvious place you’re 100% sure you already checked. I’d guess it’s probably the guy who died in the elevator from a mechanical malfunction a decade ago.
Cons:
No matter how much you mop the floors never really get clean, the windows only open about 4 inches (the kind you pull out), and they’ve been bumping the rent up by an insane amount every year which is why I moved out ($600 on a $4200 3 bed flex for me). The flex bedroom walls were also basically plywood (literally—no drywall on top, just strand board painted white).
Advice to owner:
Would probably invest a little more in quality flex walls if you’re gonna charge 11 million dollars to live there.

Reliable Amenities, Excellent Handyman, No COVID Assistance
Former Tenant
Pros:
Fast Internet, Great Temperature Control, Zero Pests- Didn’t even see an ant for over a year Common Areas always clean Responsive and friendly handyman, usually fulfills requests same-day High-Ceilings Most neighbors are mature and respectful of others Overall a great building and prime location, which should largely outweigh the cons for most people
Cons:
Management company unresponsive about anything that can’t be resolved by handyman Thin walls/loud neighbors who party on weeknights and regularly hosted gatherings during COVID without consequences Ownership did not offer rent/utility reduction or credit to current and long-term residents during COVID, despite reducing rent significantly for available apartments that were then blatantly being used as AirBnB’s Intermittent trouble with mail/packages but hard to know who’s to blame for that
Advice to owner:
Don’t defer to management company bureaucracy to do your dirty work - take care of your long-term residents and they’ll stick around long-term Give Mail Carriers/Package building access so they’re not buzzing random doors daily Handyman deserves a big raise and more vacation time
