Do not live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious living room, good neighborhood and proximity to M, L and J
Cons:
Management does not care about your well-being. We had every issue in the book and received slow responses to emergent situations and zero compensation for our damaged property and constant repairs being made on our unit and building. Our windows leaked every month our whole lease, causing mold and water damage, the water heater above us exploded causing major water damage, there's been rats in the walls the whole time and they don't care, pest control sucks, and there's an auto shop next door that blasts music so loud on the street that it shakes the walls. They also refused to replace our lock when it would continuously get jammed so I had to pay $600 out of pocket to replace in the middle of the night and it took them months to reimburse me. We also had a 3 month long gas leak because management turned on our gas line after national grid told them our stove needs to be replaced. We could've died and they did nothing.
Advice to owner:
Do better! Everything they do feels illegal !

Management from hell
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close proximity to trains, food and bars. Great neighborhood.
Cons:
Extremely incompetent management, negligent in building maintenance and only doing the bare minimum on repairs after months of asking them to do so.
Advice to owner:
Do better.

Building Above Auto Sound Instillation Business
Former Tenant
Pros:
Modern appliances and finishies. High ceilings. Water included in rent. Washer & dryer in building.
Management is quick with emergency situations like leaks, flooding. Took care of roach issue and monthly exterminator.
Cons:
Building is above auto sound instillation business. So loud the bass shakes the building. Never know when it’s going to be loud.
Mail issues because the garbage was in front of the building so USPS stopped delivering for months at a time. Receive mail from people who haven’t lived there in years.
Depending on the unit you have you could face the subway which is above ground in Brooklyn.

DO NOT LIVE HERE
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent (but extremely loud) location
Cons:
My roommates and I lived here 2 years ago and current tenants got in contact with us to inquire about the apartment because it's falling apart. Our time in the building was terrible. They overcharge for rent, there are constant leaks, problems with the security system, poorly ventilated so it reeks of mold, and the walls are not insulated at all, meaning the heating and AC barely works and all sounds outside can clearly be heard inside the building

A nightmare, start to finish
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent location. But not worth it
Cons:
Renting from Ranco Management has been an absolute nightmare start to finish.
- Constant leaks every time it rains - Dirty lobby - Horrible paint jobs - Sewage problems - Lack of insulation - Unreliable pest management - AC does not work well - Dryer barely works - Constant dismissiveness and harassment from management - No sound-proofing.
It's just a nightmare. We had to move out due to the maintenance negligence and are still receiving horror stories from various current tenants. Not worth it.
