Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 158 Johnson Avenue praise its competitive rent, spacious apartments with dual outdoor spaces, and a great superintendent. The building offers decent cleanliness, quietness due to thick walls, and useful amenities like a gym and laundry. However, common issues include persistent leaks, inefficient heating, unreliable hot water, package thefts despite secured areas, and slow or inadequate management responsiveness. Pest control is generally good, but tenants express concerns about management cutting corners and lack of effective maintenance systems. While some recommend it for value and location, others find it overpriced and urge improvements in security, heating, communication, and upkeep for a better living experience.

Pretty good, but management cuts corners
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Competitive rent prices - Decent location - Great super
Cons:
- Management does not like to spend money. They are always looking for cheap fixes. - Packages get stolen - I've reported two gas leaks; their cheap fix didn't work for long. This seems to be an issue others have had. You need to be on top of checking for this kind of stuff
