Great building, horrible maintenance
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments are beautiful and spacious. Neighbors are very nice and friendly.
Cons:
Building maintenance is very poor and management is unresponsive. The basement is very dirty and has many roaches. Unfortunately, the super's assistant is the only one who manages the trash, and there's just too much for one person to do. Many people on upper floors have leaks but the management refuses to actually do proper roof maintenance.

Avoid at all cost this building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful layout, rent stabilized, nice neighbors, tree lined streets, close to train
Cons:
We were 'evicted' from apartment 3 months after we ended our lease, gave keys back to super, cleaned apartment, though we sent notice with last rent check,(they refused to give their proper address for a certified 30 day notice to leave at end of lease). They deemed us a new lease without our signatures and we were in court several times to fight it. Was dismissed, but in court, 1/2 the room was there for 34th ave realty, they weren't cashing people's checks or were just all around sheisters...They came after us again and got dismissed again permanently, then sold the debt to collectors and we were harassed until that finally ended. Elevator was broken alot. They are evil.
Advice to owner:
They wouldn't take any advice, why bother with a suggestion.

More insentive to employee to take care better of the building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location near by Park
Cons:
The owner of the building doesn't have a value union to insentive their employees so they don't feel motivated and valued for their job and that brings more conflict when it comes to do it as team work in the building when they don't get even for holidays they have to find ways to help eachother but the new New Super doesn't want to cooperate i have seing it with my own eyes no one told me anything. we have a lot of roaches mouses and bedbugs people are not educated by the building management or the Super to keep the building clean to take care of apartment issues on time to post information about how can tenants should help to keep their places clean to avoid pest it comes by race culture and way how to live your life the issues is a lot of people in this building doesn't knows how to live and corporate to live with other neighbors clean and in harmony. The Porter of the Building he doesn't a good job in the garbage area but the Super doesn't help him when he takes his vacation time all the garbage in a mess on the basement it get accumulated with no mercy needs motivation to be better in cleaning the elevator and the front of the building early.
Advice to owner:
Pay better your employees give them better union better benefits better retirement valued their job give them paid Holidays paid vacation days their are human beings!!!!! so they can do a better job in giving information to people how to avoid bedbugs how to clean they apartments how to keep pest out the neighbors take out their matters in the elevator open to bedbugs to stick in the elevator walls and top entrance i got one jumping from the top of the elevator to my chest and got in the apartment that is how i got bedbugs plus i think they are coming also from the walls or next door or upper level i spent a lot of money buying sprays but they keep coming back.
