Nicest apartments in Ridgewood, but…
Former Tenant
Pros:
Historic building (old Ridgewood Theatre), fully renovated, beautiful/modern apartment fixtures and appliances, lots of bldg amenities (outside deck with bbq, hammocks, lounge and work areas, kids room, laundry, dog spa), virtual doorman, responsive maintenance team
Cons:
The electricity bill is absolutely outrageous. Like, $350 a month easily for our small ONE bedroom unit. I’ve never paid that much to ConEd even when I lived in a large house. It’s mostly delivery charges, not actual power usage. All of our neighbors said theirs is ridiculously high as well. Downstairs lobby is NOT staffed, so packages go missing sometimes when people buzz strangers into the building. Also the view from the roof is AMAZING but new building owners recently banned anyone from going up there (people still can technically, though).
Advice to owner:
Rehire front desk staff and care more/take more responsibility when packages go missing.
