Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant reviews for 1625 Putnam Avenue in Queens reveal a mixed experience. Many appreciate the building’s spacious apartments, rent stabilization, and proximity to subway lines, along with amenities like a gym, laundry, rooftop, and outdoor courtyard. However, consistent concerns include poor pest control, particularly roach infestations, noise disturbances, and young, sometimes disruptive neighbors. Management responsiveness varies, with several complaints about slow or unhelpful service, especially after hours, and issues with maintenance and security such as package theft. While some praise the community feel and maintenance improvements, others caution about management’s handling of repairs and resident screening.

Meh at best
Former Tenant
Pros:
Gym and Laundry in building.
Cons:
Owners are unresponsive and predatory in their business tactics. The whole block has a pretty bad rat infestation. There have been 2 fires in the building in the last 3 years. Nothing is ever maintained and management is apathetic at best.
Have an issue on a Saturday? Good luck getting through to them. They're Orthodox folks and don't have anyone to answer the line on Saturdays when they're unable to work.
Advice to owner:
Send monthly exterminators like your SUPPOSED to. Maintain and upgrade appliances, do better inspections to ensure no issues for tenants.
