Cozy with amenities but pricey
Pros
Laundry in basement + free Big furnished basement, back yard, and roof for entertaining Newer appliances Brick interior
Cons
- Common areas not updated or maintained - furniture in them is from buildings previous ownership that left it behind in 2019 and hasn't been touched since. - Property ownership has a loophole to not adhere to annual market rent raises, so they tried to raise our rent $900/month each renewal cycle and we had to fight tooth and nail to get it lowered. In the end, management called saying they were refinancing the building and had to prove to the bank that they were earning at least 4k from each apartment & did a 'one month free' as the only compromise. Ownership is greedy and truly does not care about the tenants, only that they pay astronomical increases each year.
Advice to the owners
Maintain common areas, most furniture is falling apart, laundry machines frequently broken or smoking, roof furniture old and faded. And for the love of god stop raising the rent to prices way beyond market rate and enabling the further gentrification of this neighborhood.
Patoma Management is awful!!
Pros
-shared living space basement and rooftop (but tenants don't clean up after themselves and it is gross a lot of the time) -super is nice
Cons
-Small apt -Management is unresponsive and not reliable -Would work on building without alerting tenants - was taking a shower the water turned off and then brown, to then find out that they were working on the hot water tank bc we had to ask -water would run brown and the water would NOT get hot -entered the apartment without consent -appliances went out (refrigerator), took over a month to fix, and no compensation -charged for normal wear and tear - we left the apt in better condition than we received it -management is rude and unresponsive
Advice to the owners
be responsive and communicate with your tenants. stop scamming people
