Horrific CHRONIC Bedbug problem

Pros:
Loved the super, she was always so nice and responsive and friendly. Nice renovation, everything felt clean and looked nice
Cons:
We got bedbugs in this apartment - not going to say much more than that but when the exterminator came he said to us that there was LITERALLY no way we would ever be rid of the bedbugs in that unit because there was obviously a more serious bedbug infestation elsewhere in the building that the tenant was unwilling to solve. be warned.

Pros:
Nice people, beautiful brick walls, water pressure is amazing, they've done a lot of great renovations, rent stabilized, management is nice and responsive
Cons:
maintenance is hard to schedule, halls arent' kept very clean, rat problem outside
Advice to owner:
invest more into the building maintenance to address the rodent situation.

Pros:
The best thing about the building is probably the nice neighbors and the everything u need is in the community.
Cons:
... where do I start. 1. Landlord is just mean and spiteful. I have literally been jumped her family. She acts nice but once you’ve crossed her.... 2. If it breaks you might as well hire someone to fix it. They hire non professional people to fixes lights, tile and pipes. Its a friend of a friend who knows a cousin. 3. I live on the first floor and I suffer from a huge big problem which recently got worse because they moved the building garbage RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY WINDOW. and if you think this is isolated it’s not my cousin lives on the 4th floor my family has rented that apartment for over 40 years (rent controlled) and it’s had a nice problem. 4. Now the newer renovated apartments don’t have this issue but I know we have led in our walls. It’s just covered in 22 years 20 coats of paint. They literally just painted over the Mildew in my bathroom after I addressed the problem. Didn’t even fix the broke bathroom tiles. And now the paint is rubbing off . 5.in the summer it cangwtloud if you have kids u might spend sometime scream for people to shut up. Or calling 311 don’t feel bad half the neighborhood does it. My mom works at 5 am but there is like 3 bars and a gallery on the block so late parties just get longer. Lastly 6. This is only a problem in the winter but they literally wait till the temperature is at it’s lowest before turning on the heat I suggest u invest in a heater. It gets freezing in the building and u can beg the landlord but it won’t do a thing. Also expect any fixed work like fixing pipes or lights to take up to 2 weeks to do if I wait. It took them so long to fix my lights I ended up doing it myself. So grateful I didn’t hurt myself. The landlords place gets fixed day off issue the rest of the building has to wait. And it’s in order of who she likes more.
Advice to owner:
Watch your landlord. I’ve lived here all my life and she steals your building electricity by using the hallway plug. She lets people sleep on the roof. Literally have a list of things she’s done. Hey she attacked and I do mean physically assaulted one of your tenets. I was arrested with her daughter to prove it in front of the building her family tried to jump my cousin! The hallways smell and are dirty. And I will soon be filling out a report for the garbage pails in front of my window.
