Review Summary for 225 W.e.a. Realty LLC
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by 225 W.E.A. REALTY LLC reveals a mix of experiences, often dependent on the specific unit. Rent-stabilized apartments offer spacious layouts and good value, with some tenants praising a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere and convenient location. However, management responsiveness is inconsistent, with difficulties reaching them noted, particularly the reliance on a landline. Pest issues, including roaches and mice, remain a significant concern in some units, sometimes linked to building maintenance lapses. Positively, in selective cases management has addressed problems like pest control promptly. Overall, residents should expect a charming pre-war building with occasional challenges in maintenance and communication.

Too good to be true
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent stabilized, good value. Spacious.
Cons:
Management hard to reach - landline only. Impossible to get ahold of. There is an ongoing roach infestation in one of the units that they have yet to resolve. Impacting units below and next to it. One unit has a permanent smoke smell - multiple tenants moved out within the year. Another unit got flooded 11 times - they’ve done nothing to warn / fix the issue with the problem t

Great Pre war, needs some upgrades
Former Tenant
Pros:
Our recently updated kitchen had lots of gaps behind the cabinets which led to us having a mouse problem. However, the management was very responsive and fixed it soon after. Super also lives in building and is very nice and accessible.
Cons:
No air conditioning, but hey, it’s new york

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment is big, and it was relatively cheaper than others.
Cons:
Where to start.
Mice, shady management- you cant email them. TERRIBLE LIVE IN SUPER, he will make your life more difficult than help you.
This apartment is not worth it. We are seeking legal advice to get out of our lease. Do not sign a lease in this apartment I PROMISE IT IS NOT WORTH IT
Advice to owner:
Figure out your building. Fire your super. Follow though with the BUGS AND MICE

Love this building!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet and family friendly neighborhood also very close to the subway and groceries and restaurants. The landlord is very sweet and responsive.
Cons:
Depending on the unit - there’s no direct sunlight which can be depressing and not plant friendly.
Advice to owner:
Keep the charm of this pre-war building and continued maintenance of the building and its units.
