Adequate place to live!

Pros:

The area is really great, the laundry always works, and the building is maintained well. Neighbors are young and friendly. Has a door system and elevator which is nice.

Cons:

Management can be unresponsive, does not respond quickly to app maintenance requests.

Great location, reasonably updated, LOUD ground floor neighbors

Pros:

The location is awesome with easy access to the Delancey-Essex stop and LES hotspots. The basement laundry room almost always had open machines, and the elevator never broke in my 2 years there. The appliances were reasonably updated, and for NYC, the price was fair for the floor plan.

Cons:

The ground floor neighbors were LOUD, regularly throwing parties, blasting music, and shouting drunkenly at 3am on weeknights. We complained multiple times and even submitted noise complaints to the city, but nothing was ever done. The school nearby was also sometimes loud during the day (as is to be expected), and the rooftop had cockroaches (though we never saw one inside the apartment or on our balcony).

Advice to owner:

Kick out the obnoxious ground floor occupants

Pros:

Love the friendly neighbors, and the building is kept pretty clean! Apartments are decently sized and nice for the lower east side. Have not seen any pests!

Washers break a lot.

The intercom app stopped working so it can be a pain to let someone in since we don’t get a notification when they call
