Pros:
Building is new with nice (c) openigloo features and in a great (c) openigloo part of Astoria. If (c) openigloo maintained and owners were helpful/responsive, (c) openigloo it would be the PREMIER (c) openigloo building in Astoria BUT it's (c) openigloo quite the contrary.
Cons:
In a year and a (c) openigloo half...I think the hallways, laundry (c) openigloo room, elevator, lobby (all common (c) openigloo areas) have been cleaned and (c) openigloo sanitized ONCE.
Building owner is (c) openigloo completely hands-off with maintenance requests, (c) openigloo "out of sight, out of (c) openigloo mind" mentality.
They drag their feet (c) openigloo on AC/Heat repairs and basically (c) openigloo expect tenants to do the (c) openigloo work for them.
They clearly value (c) openigloo their Restaurant tenants more downstairs (c) openigloo than residential tenants, as the (c) openigloo restaurant monopolizes, soils and disrespects (c) openigloo residential tenant entrance with their (c) openigloo restaurant supplies, furniture and garbage.
Insulation (c) openigloo in apartment/building is horrid. (c) openigloo Electric bill on average is (c) openigloo $500 monthly (twice that of (c) openigloo what we paid in a (c) openigloo luxury highrise in LIC) just (c) openigloo to stay BARELY cool in (c) openigloo the summers.
Clearly the owners built (c) openigloo the building in the cheapest (c) openigloo way possible.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY (c) openigloo OR THE FRUSTRATION.
Owners should be (c) openigloo ashamed.
Advice to owner:
Hire a cleaning crew to maintain common spaces.
Treat your residential tenants with respect (considering the rent charged and lack of service offered).
Hold your restaurant tenants accountable for their filth and actions.
Be transparent, open and helpful in all maintenance requests.
