Review Summary for Fisher Associates
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant reviews for buildings managed by FISHER ASSOCIATES reveal a pattern of unresponsiveness and inadequate maintenance. Common issues include persistent pest infestations, poor garbage management, and dirty shared spaces. Heating and water pressure receive mixed feedback, with some praising functionality while others report discomfort. While some supers are appreciated for their efforts, building-wide cleanliness and timely repairs often fall short. Noise disturbances and concerns about community safety are also reported. A few buildings benefit from convenient locations and friendly neighbors, yet overall, tenants urge FISHER ASSOCIATES to improve communication, pest control, and building upkeep to enhance living conditions.

This place is not worth it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are friendly , it’s pretty quite
Cons:
They don’t take care of the trash , they have a roach issue throughout whole building so it’s very hard. Even if your place is clean they don’t manage the rest of the building so it’s an infestation. Their exterminator sucks . I’m pretty sure there’s mold in apartments too
Advice to owner:
Get the building professionally cleaned ! I don’t know the last time I saw someone actually clean hallways or the stairs. It’s always so much dust. Just because the building is old does not mean you shouldn’t continue to upkeep it .

Living here currently
Former Tenant
Pros:
Pros about 35-15 Leverich Street:
• Carlos, the super, is helpful in certain situations and keeps the garbage room clean and well-maintained.
• The elevator, though older, is functional and reliable.
• The building is definitely decent for renting, offering a reasonable living environment.
• Excellent location with close access to multiple forms of transportation, including trains and buses, making commuting easy.
Cons:
Cons about 35-15 Leverich Street:
• Management does not effectively address noise issues despite multiple complaints.
• Certain neighbors are allowed to smoke on the premises, which may violate building policies and affect other tenants.
• stairs are in very bad condition and dirty
Advice to owner:
Maintain stairs clean , and add more lighting. Have building information posted in the lobby, add a couch or seating possibly in lobby

Missing In Action Landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are very friendly
Cons:
My unit became infested with mice shortly after renewing my lease. The landlord was nearly impossible to get ahold of and the super was not helpful. It took months of back and forth and whitholding rent to finally get their attention. I ultimately had to break my lease because they still wouldn't address the issue properly.
I also suspect they were overcharging for rent stabilized units, so look out for that.
Advice to owner:
Invest at least a little bit in maintaining your proper

Under poor management and supervision
Former Tenant
Pros:
pet friendly , nice tenants for the most part.
Cons:
Building is not maintained well at all. The stairwells are dirty and paint on it.
Garbage room is usually filled with garbage not enough garbage bins with so many tenants. A lot of violations.
Advice to owner:
Need new management team. The employees at fisher associates are very unprofessional, rude and do not care about maintaining this building at all.

Ok, All qualities are below average
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent Superintendents and management, but things could be a lot cleaner around the building.
Cons:
Horrible garbage management is due to neighbors not throwing trash down the chute.
Advice to owner:
Put proper signs on garbage chute so we don't attract pests

Poor leasing office responses, super is rude and doesn’t do anything you request
Former Tenant
Pros:
close to train
Cons:
This building could be great space to live, but had a huge problem with roaches and mice, you ask the súper for something and you can go years without anything being fixed because he is always “busy” and if you try to call the office no one ever answers or returns the calls back. You pay high rent to be angry at the landlord
Advice to owner:
pay closer attention to your clients, train your súper to respect your tenants & for god sake, clean the building and make sure your super is maintaining the tenants apts.

Moldy and unresponsive
Former Tenant
Pros:
People who have lived in the building for years are very kind. The super does his best.

Good luck contacting the management company. They don't respond to emails or phone calls. The whole building has a mold problem and they just paint over it.

Great Super, Ample Spaces, Stinky Basement
Former Tenant
Pros:
Ample Spaces, responsive Super and active building staff. They try to clean and maintain the building very clean but there's so much they can do because the building is old.
Cons:
Some parts are moldy. The basement is a disaster - it stinks, it's old and paint is falling, floor is sticky and old. Would probably rate it 0. The buildings laundromat is awful. No one cleans the machines and they're always breaking. My bathroom is pink and old. The kitchen cabinets are old and old fashioned.
Advice to owner:
Renovate the basement. Renovate the laundromat and bring newer washing and drying machines. Give tenants storege space for bicycles and small things and remove the old pink bathrooms and kitchen cabinets. Also, what about the green space in the back of the building?? Would be amazing if tenants could use it.

FISHER BROS. DONT ANSWER TENANTS!
Former Tenant
Pros:
….Not much, the Fisher owners just want “market rate “ (this was overhead from Manny Fisher speaking) and the bugs are everywhere and bells don’t work, and it’s freeeezing in the Winter. The Fisher brothers will never call you back for Anything! Not good!
Cons:
-Dirty Unpainted Basement; The doorbells don’t work in each apartment; HEAT is at the bare bare minimum sometimes below minimum levels in the winter; Provide assistance with too many Roaches!
