Poor management, building needs maintenance
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Spacious apartments
- Building has laundry on the second floor
- Other tenants are younger people/families, apartments facing the back have no street noise
- Good neighborhood, easy access to subways
- Recently implemented online rent payments
Cons:
- Laundry always breaking, very old, only 2 machines
- Management does not respond to anything, when they do they are rude
- Second bedroom does not have a real window to the outdoors, no A/C access or heating
- Brown stains on walls when it rains, heard from other tenants about mold problems as well
- "No pets" even though original StreetEasy listing said pets allowed
- Really weak water pressure
- Previous live-in super was timely and responsive, new super not so much
- Can get noise from the outdoor patio space attached to another building
Advice to owner:
Reply to emails, do some repairs, find some way to provide heat/air conditioning to second bedrooms!!

Good Space/Annoying management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The live-in super took care of everything if there was any issue he would be able to fix it or address it immediately. Laundry in building is nice. It’s generally a quiet spot, except for some of the traffic on 3rd Ave. 5-10 min walk to the train. Post office nearby
Cons:
The trash is around the corner in another building which was really annoying. Some of the units are flex and had “bedrooms” with no windows. The management was so hard to deal with, slow to respond and very rude. You have to write checks and mail them to pay rent which was a hassle.
Advice to owner:
Get a portal to pay rent online
