Cares more about getting people in for more $$$
Former Tenant
Pros:
It's a beautiful historic building, the apartments are very well built. We rarely hear our neighbors. The layout of our apartment is really nice and spacious.
Cons:
Once the owners switched, it seems like they only care about making renovations to be able to charge significantly more money and it doing so they current tenants. We've had a few maintenance issues be ignored because they are always working on renovating units to charge nearly triple the rent for.
Advice to owner:
Pay attention to your current tenants!

New landlord making things worse
Former Tenant
Pros:
Storage lockers, bike room, and laundry in basement
Cons:
It takes a long time to get things fixed. The new landlord is shady and may be making illegal short term rental apartments. The new landlord has put up approximately 5 cameras on each floor primarily pointing at the apartments, likely as a way to try to evict rent stabilized tenants.
